Marco Announces New Resources to Support Interior Designers

NEOSHO, Mo., June 23, 2026 – Marco, a family-owned American-made manufacturer of high-quality education furniture, is introducing several new resources to support interior designers of education environments with space planning, design visualization and continuing education. The new resources reflect Marco’s continuing brand evolution as a provider of design-forward solutions and research to create better learning spaces and student outcomes.

The Marco Planning Typicals Library officially launched today with fully realized educational space plans for classroom, STEM/STEAM, lounge and library environments. Each planning typical includes four unique views of the space; product identification for every item featured; Bill of Materials (BOM); 2D Floor Plans (2DFL); and files for Revit, DWG, CMFAV, and SketchUp. The library is expanding soon to include band and music space environments, giving designers inspiration and planning ideas from Marco’s music storage line, Bandstor™ by Marco.

Marco is also announcing its “Summer School” initiative – a series of live virtual continuing education unit (CEU) sessions taking place during June, July and August.

The “Shaping Spaces, Shaping Minds” CEU explores the importance of shape theory and how shape design principles can positively impact classroom settings and student performance. The upcoming sessions are on July 9 and Aug. 6, both starting at 12 p.m. EST. The “Behind the Music” CEU shows how thoughtful planning supports successful music programs and spaces that are safer and smarter for students. Upcoming sessions for this CEU are on July 23 and Aug. 20, all starting at 12 p.m. EST. Both CEUs are 1 hour and are IIDEC-certified, allowing for designers with ASID and IIDA membership to gain 1 credit upon successful completion. Designers can sign up to attend a session at the Marco Summer School CEU webpage.

“Last year, we embarked on a journey to take our mission to a higher level by strategically and intentionally thinking about how the products and services we create can generate more positive outcomes for learning environments,” said Marco CEO Richard Davidson. “These new resources reflect that. We’re excited to share them with designers and our dealer customers who share the same goals we do: to create better educational spaces for teachers and students.”

Additional Marco designer-focused resources include: A team of in-house Marco designers with CET Designer expertise who provide space planning services free-of-charge; an ever-growing image gallery of product and environment renderings; and a series of thought-provoking research-based white papers and blog articles from Marco collaboration consultant, Lennie Scott-Webber, Ph.D., a noted expert in environment-behavior research for educational practices and places.
